My story:
At home, I discovered a leak running into my garage coming in through my 20-year old original roof. Soon afterward, I received a visit from a different, door-to-door, roofing salesman and began to work on a roofing plan with him. He would find storm damage (there was actually plenty of it), handle the insurance, and build me a "new roof meeting applicable building codes." He conducted a quick "ground level inspection" (i.e. without even getting on the roof) and promised me no out-of-pocket expenses. The sales pitch is designed to sound like "magic" to a naive homeowner. All I had to do was immediately sign away my right to work with other contractors. Right from the start, the sales pressure was uncomfortable. I didn't even know enough to ask about the types of materials and construction techniques his company would use. The lack of a real roof inspection bothered me. I'd never even see the actual costs. I knew I was out of my league and falling into a trap.
Then I called DaVinci Partners and everything changed completely. I met with proprietor Vince Calcagno. Mr. Calcagno started by explaining a few things to me from the start. I learned about the varieties and quality levels of different types of asphalt shingles. He discussed the various materials and techniques used for underlayments. He talked about renailing the roof deck and using valley pans instead of interweaving shingles. He showed how to improve attic circulation by converting the tiny roof vents to substantial ridge vents. Mr. Calcagno's goal was clear: to provide me the very best available roof within my needs and budget as well as the education to truly appreciate my decision. Remarkably, he demonstrated that the very best option was just incrementally more expensive than the most basic option. (The most basic option is what I'd have gotten with the rejected salesman, and I'd have never even known it!)
Mr. Calcagno sent out an engineer to actually study my roof and used satellite-based imaging services to accurately measure its dimensions. I eagerly signed up with DaVinci Partners. and Mr. Calcagno supervised the roofing crew himself, in person, to ensure they executed the construction project using the advanced materials and techniques in accordance with manufacturer's requirements. He took copious photographs and shared them with me to see for myself. I handled the insurance claim myself, so I know that Mr. Calcagno managed this job perfectly on budget. It sounds unbelievable, but for all this he accomplished so much more than the other salesman had promised. I received the very best available fortified roofing system and still paid nothing out of pocket! Fortified roofing systems -- if you don't know what that means and you need a new roof, then look it up right away!

DaVinci Roofing knocked it out of the park! Our roof was leaking in a valley and they Handled everything from there! Crew knocked it out in one day and took extra time to clean up and magnetize for the sake of my dog's paws!!
